第二天（8月31日），刘畊宏公司天赋星球发布声明作出回应，称合作公司杭州麦空确实推荐了该燕窝产品在直播中销售，当时品牌方提供有检验报告，但至今未确认售卖的与其他发生问题的燕窝产品是否为同批次商品，现已要求并督促合作公司妥善处理上述事件，并对消费者进行依法退赔。

而刘畊宏直播间燕窝事件到今天才曝出事故，于是刘畊宏发了一条微博，对此事件表示道歉：
