Another big sale was banned! 50,000 Chinese sellers have been banned. Where is the cross-border e-commerce path?

2021-08-02

The recent experience of cross-border e-commerce people

Amazon "Big Killing Special"

Everything started in April this year.

Patuosun, known as the "Three Masters of Amazon" and "Making Money Cash Bull", was banned by Amazon at the end of April this year. More than 600 BestSeller products under its umbrella were removed from the shelves, the Mpow brand registration was cancelled, and a large amount of funds were frozen.

Aoji, one of the "Four Young Masters of South China", had an abnormal account in May, and a large number of links were "dogs", which caused many Shenzhen sellers to tremble.

In June, Shenzhen's big seller Zebao was also "beheaded" and its three major money-making brands under RAVPower, Taotronics, and VAVA were all attacked one by one.

In July, Keshu, also the "Four Young Masters of South China", had banned 340 sites by Amazon, and frozen about 130 million yuan. During this year, most of the employees of Youkeshu lost, from 2,800 at the beginning of the year to 1,400, of which nearly 280 were lost to management.

In the same month, a store in Guangzhou's top sales was almost "annihilated", including sites in Japan, Europe and North America, were all broken one by one, and the funds under their name were frozen, and more than 95% of the company's business was shattered.

On the 29th of this month, a V***op brand in Shenzhen was banned and its journey to fight Amazon came to an end.

You should know that many big sellers bet more than 90% of their revenue on third-party platforms, and some big sellers even bet on Amazon, just like walking a tightrope at a high altitude, with their lives hanging on a thread.

None of the top sellers are spared, let alone small and medium-sized sellers?

In late this month, Amazon frequently played cards and issued "yellow card warnings" to many Chinese sellers. There are also reports that the cleaning measures will continue until September and target 200,000 stores. Amazon has not issued any relevant statements on this.

The above incidents are not groundless. Amazon said that the banned stores manipulate user comments and that sellers of all sizes are treated equally.

In other words, Amazon is still in a zero-tolerance attitude towards order brushing.

The complaint is far away

There is news online that many companies have resumed operations one after another. However, some sellers said that the current recovery is not the stores but some brands, and the overall store has not yet recovered.

Under Amazon's drastic brushstrokes, many sellers still said they were injured by accident and negotiated with Amazon as soon as possible. The other party's indifferent attitude really made many sellers feel cold.

It is worth mentioning that some comments said that sellers who are "one-size-fits-all" can only go to the United States to protect their rights. The average arbitration cost is 80,000 yuan, and the duration is about 9 months. The sky-high rights protection fee + a long cycle undoubtedly cuts off the seller's last glimmer of hope.

Not only that, some sellers found that the complaint channel had been closed and the possibility of joint rights protection was also extinguished.

When the user registers an account, Amazon secretly dug a hole. This account ban has caused Chinese sellers to lose 100 billion US dollars, and many sellers are extremely anxious. One day Amazon's gun will hit their foreheads.

A seller said: Amazon's inventory and local quantity totaled 1.3 million pieces, and they will be on the shore after they are cleared.

If someone clears the inventory, someone must take over the purchase at a low price... Someone bought 130,000 pieces of yoga clothes, and they got rich overnight!

While Amazon's account ban is targeting illegal sellers, it undoubtedly reminds other sellers that the wild growth of cross-border e-commerce is winning, and business operations are not suitable for opportunism. Only by investing more positive wisdom can we go further and further.

Ministry of Commerce comes forward

China's cross-border e-commerce sellers have suffered this, and the sellers who have not been affected are also panic. In recent years, countries that have advocated cross-border trade have also noticed this problem.

The implication is very obvious. The Ministry of Commerce believes that the ban on accounts is reasonable and compliant, but hopes that while punishing sellers, do not forget the contributions made by the majority of enterprises, and will also support enterprises to take reasonable measures to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.

The state does not agree with order brushing, and being banned from the account cannot be considered unjust. Many sellers bring domestic habits to Amazon, which has indeed disrupted the e-commerce environment and has caused many honest sellers to be innocently implicated.

It is a reality that you cannot do business without brushing orders; Amazon’s severe punishments are also reality. The conflict between the two reality is part of the cleanup reform. Looking at history, which reform has no victims? In front of absolute power, it is a good idea to save the country on the curve.

In the end, whether the seller survives or not, I believe that the future of cross-border e-commerce will become more and more brilliant due to this change.
