　　What is the well-known happiness in life? It is a sense of accomplishment, honor and happiness. Therefore, if a person does not have a sense of happiness, his life is not worth mentioning. It is important to have the ability to take yourself out of the pain of life. People like us have this ability. When we encounter difficulties and difficulties in life, we must be able to bring ourselves out through our own mentality, hard work and sunshine. Many people can’t pick it up by themselves and end up getting mentally ill.

　　As a person needs to have the ability to pick himself out and move from mediocrity to excellence, I think there are several factors that are particularly important.

　　The first element is to be humble. Humility and humility do not mean being inferior nor being incapable of decision-making ability. What I fear most is the kind of people who are arrogant, proud and unreliable in doing things, who do not have the slightest sense of modesty and are always self-righteous. In New Oriental, if there are self-righteous people among senior management cadres, I will immediately feel dislike him. No matter how talented or capable you are, you can't do it. Unless you are an independent intellectual, you can be arrogant. I allow independent intellectuals to be arrogant, and I like those arrogant independent intellectuals and professors at Peking University quite a bit. Why? He is an independent thinker and can be arrogant. But as a manager and a leader, you cannot be arrogant.

　　The second element is noble personality. We all know that a noble personality is, but you have to pass the threshold of everyone. When you think of you, you think that you are not dangerous. This is a threshold. If you think you are a person who likes to think about things, or is petty, or selfish, it basically means that you have not crossed this threshold.

　　The third element is that life can be poor, but we must strive for self-improvement. Where does a person's self-reliance reflect? It is reflected in his yearning for future life, not in specific purposes. Because achieving a specific purpose may not be self-reliance, self-reliance is an absolute compliment.

　　Self-improvement does not necessarily have a specific purpose, but when facing the future, I hope that my life will continue to become great and fulfilling. This is self-improvement. Therefore, self-reliant people do not necessarily have specific goals. I think I've done a pretty good job in this regard. Since I was a child, I thought that my life would continue to become fulfilling and connotational. Therefore, it is not my ambition to go to Peking University, and it is not my ambition to be a New Oriental, but because I have that feeling, it was done.

　　I once chatted with Liu Chuanzhi and he asked me what I would like to do in the future. I thought about it and found that my life had three stages, growing up in 2018 years, studying and working at Peking University in 2011 years, and working in New Oriental for 25 years. This is what I have done so far in my life. Is there something to do in the future? Yes. I will definitely be inseparable from New Oriental in this life, but I can only be a soul figure of New Oriental and a spiritual figure of New Oriental.

　　I think my life is now in the fourth stage, which is the stage of reading and traveling around the countries.

　　I have always hoped that my life would have another stage, which is to live like Master Hongyi as two lives, but I guess I will never achieve it in this life. Master Hongyi spent the first half of his life and was above the world for the second half of his life. But I guess I can't do it, because I am a lustful, eatable, and drinkable person. If I keep me away from these, my life will be meaningless.

　　It is okay to travel around the countries and write travel notes and read books. I don’t want to reach the state of Master Hongyi. I think he is a saint who comes out once a thousand years and has nothing to do with ordinary people like us. However, if I were asked to do some business work in New Oriental now and die in the end, I would feel that I would have lived a very regrettable life. Because it is equivalent to working hard all your life. Although there are some life insights, there is no time to make your life wider. I think it is also a kind of self-reliance when walking in the world.

　　It doesn’t matter whether a life is poor or not. Many intellectuals I know live in poverty, but I think they live a good life because they have rich thoughts and do not care about the shortcomings of real life.

　　The fourth element is self-realization, and never forget others. There are two concepts here: one is that it requires self-realization, and the other is that self-realization requires self-struggle. There must be a prerequisite for self-realization. For example, from the time I took the Peking University exam to the current New Oriental, I have been self-realization, but this self-realization is accomplished with others. New Oriental has always been a reflection of my self-realization.

　　I have seen two sentences in a book about leadership learning, which is what Maxville said in "21 Rules of Leadership", when you want to press down, you must bend down; when you hold people up, you will definitely make yourself taller. Therefore, the only principle of leaders learning is how to hold people higher and become higher at the same time, rather than finding ways to press others down.

　　In life and work, any negative thinking brings you a well-known lethality, usually killing ten thousand people, losing 8,000 to yourself, or even losing 12,000 to yourself. If you have problems with your work, you will first find your subordinates to take responsibility. If you have problems with your relationship, you will first think about where the other party is wrong. It is all negative factors, which is negative. I believe in positive psychology. When a person's life mentality is positive, all the people gather around him are positive people, and it will inevitably be much easier for him to do things.

　　Why do you say that self-realization should not forget others? When you forget others, self-realization may be based on the premise of damage to others' interests and losses, which is particularly important. When you realize yourself, bring others with you. So far, I think the proudest thing I have done is to bring a group of people from New Oriental.

　　Even if the people who become New Oriental opponents, I think New Oriental has not forgotten these people. What's more, a group of New Oriental veterans who went out are now investing and doing their own business. Not everyone needs to start a business. We can make this big in the same team. Not everyone needs to be a chicken head. Many of us can become part of the elephant and finally go to the world. If I had wanted to step on others from the beginning, New Oriental would definitely be a small self-employed person now. In short, when you do something, you should always think about where others are.

　　Although there are difficulties in life, never give up easily. Perseverance is a quality that any successful person must possess. Many people believe that when a certain stage comes, life will be free of difficulties. But I found that a person's life is a process of continuous suffering, difficulties, setbacks, and continuous increase, rather than a process of continuous decrease. The more you do, the more these things you have. There are almost no people without hardship in life. Even if there are, the lives of these people are not worth mentioning, which is called unbearable lightness of life.

　　We should not try to eliminate the difficulties in life, no matter how wise you are, it is impossible. I think I am a little wise person. To be able to get to this point, it is definitely a trap and pit step by step. For my part, I often get shot when I lie down.
