2016-11-04

In recent years, the development of e-commerce has mainly revolved around two models: Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, Suning.com, etc., these physical e-commerce with products as the main form, and the other one is Wowotuan, Didi and Meituan, etc., these service e-commerce with services as the main form.

So the editor will summarize for you what the development trend of e-commerce will be like in the next few years ?

The first trend is mobile shopping. As we all know, by the end of last year, the number of mobile phone users reached 500 million, while the number of PC users was 590 million, and the penetration rate of mobile phones was much greater than the penetration rate of PCs . In other words, in 2017 , mobile users will surpass PC users. Mobile users have many characteristics. First of all, the purchase frequency is higher and more fragmented. The peak of purchase is not during the day, but at night, weekends, and holidays. To do a good job in mobile shopping, we must make full use of the characteristics of this mobile device, such as its scanning features, images, voice recognition features, sensing features, etc. These additional functions can truly bring mobile to thousands of households, which will inevitably promote the development of mobile shopping.

The second trend is platformization. You can see that large e-commerce companies have begun to have their own platforms. In fact, this is an inevitable process for social development, because this is a process of making the most of their traffic and the trust of basic users, and making their products and services well-known and profitable. With their own platform, global resources can be used to make up for the shortcomings of self-operated products, increase the richness of platform products, and increase the platform's service and regional coverage.

The third trend is that e-commerce will penetrate into third-, fourth- and fifth-tier cities. On the one hand, it comes from the continued penetration of mobile devices. Many third-, fourth- and fifth-tier cities use mobile phones and Pads to access the Internet . Local shopping is inconvenient, and the availability of products is not high, and the product categories are not rich enough.

Third- and fourth-tier cities, townships and other regions have become the main battlefield for e-commerce to " sink channels " . At the same time, e-commerce can give full play to its advantages in underdeveloped third- and fourth-tier cities, townships and first- and second-tier cities. Alibaba is developing Cainiao Logistics and constantly radiating to third- and fourth-tier cities. The amount of financing applied for by JD.com's IPO is about US$ 1.5 billion to US$ 1.9 billion, but JD.com stated in its prospectus that it will have US$ 1 billion to US$ 1.2 billion to be used for the construction of e-commerce infrastructure. It seems that both giants have focused on third- and fourth-tier cities.

The fourth trend is social shopping. I hope to hear the opinions of relatives, friends and opinion leaders. We recommend them as a reference. Social shopping allows everyone to market customers more accurately on social networks, serve customers more individually, and improve social shopping positioning more conveniently and accurately!
