      The announcement stated that in order to improve the quality of merchants' products and improve consumers' shopping experience, Tmall International will update the "General Principles of Tmall International Product Sampling Conduct Code". This rule update will be announced on May 7, 2021 and will officially take effect on May 14, 2021.

      The General Provisions on the Code of Conduct for Sampling of Tmall Products Show that this rule applies to the quality inspection and authenticity identification of goods sold by merchants on Tmall International. Tmall International will use the inventory of goods to retain samples in batches in a circular manner. The number of samples drawn shall not exceed the reasonable requirements for inspection and re-inspection. If the sampling cannot meet the inspection requirements, only some of the items will be inspected; the storage conditions of the sample should meet the requirements of the express standards or labels of the product.

      In addition, all subsequent amendments (excluding errata) or revisions for dated documents do not apply to these Rules. The latest version of any referenced document that does not date is applicable to these rules.
