Official announcement! Instructions for clearing the illegal scores of Taobao store in 2018

　　The illegal scores and zeroing of Taobao stores will be cleared on December 31st of each year, and 2018 is no exception! On December 20, 2018, Taobao’s official website issued a notice of zeroing out of illegal points, indicating that the illegal points deductions on Taobao in 2018 will be cleared as follows at 24:00 on December 31, 2018. Please know all Taobao sellers!

　　1. Points deducted in general violations

　　All general violations in 2018 will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31, 2018. However, the node processing or other violation handling measures being carried out will continue to be implemented until the violation handling expires and the exam is passed.

　　2. Serious violations of points deducted (excluding counterfeit goods sold)

　　1. All those who have serious violations in 2018 (except for selling counterfeit goods) with less than 48 points will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31, 2018. However, the node processing or other violation handling measures being carried out will continue to be implemented until the violation handling expires and the exam is passed.

　　2. If the points deducted in serious violations in 2018 (except for selling counterfeit goods) have reached 48 points or more, they will not be cleared and the account will be sealed.

　　3. Deduct points for illegal sale of counterfeit goods

　　According to the rules for illegal deduction and zeroing for counterfeit goods, the logic for illegal deduction and zeroing for counterfeit goods sold in 2018 is as follows:

　　1. Those who have illegal deductions for counterfeit goods at the end of 2017 have been cleared:

　　(1) If the points deducted for sale of counterfeit goods in 2018 are not as high as 24 points, the zero will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31, 2018. However, the node processing or other violation handling measures being carried out will continue to be implemented until the violation handling expires and the exam is passed.

　　(2) If the points deducted for sale of counterfeit goods in 2018 have reached 24 points but are less than 48 points, 24 points will be included in 2019. The node processing or other violation handling measures that are being executed will continue to be implemented until the violation handling expires and the examination can be lifted.

　　[Warm reminder] If your new counterfeit goods sold in 2018 is less than 24 points, then all your illegal deductions for counterfeit goods sold will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31, 2018; if your new deductions are 24 points or more, you will face the processing of seizure of your account.

　　(3) If the points deducted for sale of counterfeit goods in 2018 have reached 48 points or more, they will not be cleared and the account will be sealed.

　　2. At the end of 2017, the points deducted for counterfeit goods were counted as 24 points or more in 2018:

　　(1) If the points deducted by the new counterfeit goods sold in 2018 are not as high as 24 points, it will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31, 2018. However, the node processing or other violation handling measures being carried out will continue to be implemented until the violation handling expires and the exam is passed.

　　(2) If the points deducted by new counterfeit goods sold in 2018 have reached 24 points or more, that is, the cumulative amount has reached 48 points or more, the zero will not be cleared and the account will be sealed.

　　Handling of violation complaints:

　　For illegal points deductions caused before December 31, 2018, you can still file a complaint in accordance with Taobao regulations, and Taobao will continue to handle them. If you make a complaint successfully after the illegal score is cleared, the corresponding penalty will be revoked, and the corresponding violation score will be deducted from your 2018 violation score and implemented in accordance with the above violation clearance plan; if the complaint is not successful, the illegal score will be calculated in 2018 and implemented in accordance with the above violation clearance plan.

　　In order to avoid affecting your normal operations, for the current violations that have been generated, it is recommended that you try to initiate a complaint before December 31, 2018, and Taobao will assist in handling it as soon as possible.

　　Regulations on marketing activities:

　　The restrictions on marketing activities will not be cancelled with the illegal deductions at the end of 2018.

　　[Example] A seller was deducted 12 points for a false transaction violation on December 30, 2018. Although the 12-point score will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31, according to the marketing rules of "sellers and products who have been deducted points for illegal transactions but have not reached 48 points, they will be restricted from participating in marketing activities for 90 days from the date of the penalty taking effect;" the seller can still only register for marketing activities starting from March 30, 2019.

　　If the points deducted for selling counterfeit goods reach 24 points or more, the zero will not be cleared in that year, and 24 points will be included in the following year; if the points deducted for selling counterfeit goods do not reach 24 points in the following year, the zero will be cleared at 24:00 on December 31 of that year. If the cumulative points deducted by 48 points or more, the account will be sealed.
