On September 28, Tmall issued a notice on the changes to the rules for termination of brand operations on Tmall yesterday, and regulated the brands of merchants. The rules will officially take effect on October 11.
The announcement shows that after Article 50 of the Tmall Rules changes, if any of the following situations occurs in the brand operated by the merchant, Tmall may terminate the brand's operation on Tmall:
(1) If the brand's products do not meet the national mandatory standards, recommended standards or platform quality requirements;
(2) The brand is determined by Tmall to counterfeit other people's trademarks, product names, packaging and decorations, company names, product quality marks, etc. or easily cause confusion or misunderstanding of consumers. (Tmall rules)
