Dear merchants:
In order to standardize the market management order of Tmall online shopping platform and provide consumers with a better shopping experience, Tmall will upgrade the "Three-Year Quality Assurance Service Specification".
The rules change will be announced on January 25, 2018 and will officially take effect on February 2, 2018.
Main changes:
1. New terms are added. Merchants must confirm the agreement and output the plan within 48 hours after the consumer initiates the quality assurance service application, otherwise they will compensate the consumers for the corresponding points;
2. Increase the amount of compensation for the merchant that has not provided and/or has not provided three-year warranty services within the specified time, from 15% of the transaction amount to 20%; at the same time, the merchant does not need to continue to pay if the transaction amount is fully compensated;
3. Improve service timeliness. Merchants will close the timeout 30 days after accepting consumers’ three-year warranty service application, and increase it to 15 days.
