Among the founding members of Lao Gao Cross-border E-commerce Club, Xie Heming met Lao Gao earlier and was an old member who had been nearly ten years old. In his own words, he followed the club along the way.
He is not only a veteran of domestic e-commerce, but also a veteran of cross-border e-commerce. In 2015, he transformed from domestic e-commerce to cross-border e-commerce. In the past five years of cross-border e-commerce, his performance has increased by 2-3 times every year, and the growth rate was rapid during the epidemic last year. Leave your job in a public institution and embark on the road of starting an e-commerce business
After graduating from university, Xie Heming entered a public institution and stayed for ten years. Probably everyone who has entered the system has had the same experience, that is, the life in a public institution can be seen at a glance, and the life before retirement is just step by step, and there will be no surprises.
Xie Heming is no exception. If he does not retire, he can stay in a public institution for the rest of his life, but he always feels that his life still needs to change a little. He has a gentle personality, but he also longs for financial freedom and work freedom in his heart. It just so happened that domestic e-commerce began to emerge in 2011. A few classmates said they would start a business together, so he made a new attempt and resigned from his original public institution.

In the current social environment, it is a very important decision to actively give up the iron rice bowl in the system. Xie Heming discussed with his family for a long time. After making the decision, he embarked on the road of e-commerce entrepreneurship with his classmates.
After working in domestic e-commerce for three or four years, Xie Heming felt that his performance growth was weak and obtained some information from various channels. After analysis, he judged that the growth trend of cross-border e-commerce would be better, the market prospects would be better, and the competition would not be so fierce. Based on his understanding of products and operations accumulated in domestic e-commerce, Xie Heming felt that he could play a role in the cross-border e-commerce track, so he decisively turned to cross-border e-commerce.
Later, he and his classmates divided into two business directions. He devoted all his energy to cross-border e-commerce, and only maintained a cooperative relationship with his classmates.
There must be difficulties, just overcome them
Xie Heming recalled the past years, and he felt that it was generally good. He had encountered some difficulties more or less. His simple personality only responded to one sentence: I can only find a way to overcome it. As the first seller to join cross-border e-commerce, he also took some detours when choosing tracks and platforms at the beginning.
In the early days of starting a business, Xie Heming also encountered difficulties in resources, funds, teams, etc., but what made him most anxious was that his business could not be improved. Some tracks or projects they were optimistic about suddenly missed because of the breakdown of funds and resources, so he became more anxious at this time.

In addition to this, Xie Heming also encountered a problem, which was to find someone. Because cross-border e-commerce is a separate project, it must be distinguished from domestic e-commerce. Because the thinking is different from domestic e-commerce, the product line and the person in charge must be distinguished, and cross-border e-commerce cannot be viewed from the perspective of domestic e-commerce.
In the early stage, the team was built, and there were very few talents in cross-border e-commerce. Xie Heming also made preparations, training himself and finding people. Looking back at that experience, it is necessary to find the right person to do it. It does not necessarily mean to poach mature people or teams, but you must build the team yourself.
Entering cross-border e-commerce, enterprises cannot have shortcomings
When talking about the difference between doing e-commerce now and doing e-commerce in the past, Xie Heming used one word to describe it: reincarnation.
In his opinion, the current path of cross-border e-commerce is exactly the path that domestic e-commerce took five years ago. "Maybe domestic e-commerce has been in the second half, but cross-border e-commerce is now at most close to the midfield."
In 2011, the domestic e-commerce industry that Xie Heming entered had many dividends, but it is basically difficult for domestic e-commerce to be done by luck now, and they all have to work hard to make a lot of financial, material and manpower.
In the early days of cross-border e-commerce, there were many opportunities. Basically, you can sell whatever you sell and anything you sell. However, cross-border e-commerce has also developed to a stage of refined operation . Xie Heming reminds sellers who are entering the market now that cross-border e-commerce has only passed the first wave of dividend period and is still a long way to go before they can truly develop. Therefore, if you need to study more in-depth now, you can find some good opportunities.

Xie Heming feels that there is a fundamental difference between cross-border e-commerce and domestic e-commerce. Domestic e-commerce cares about the overall model. Finding a point or strategy can achieve results immediately. Cross-border e-commerce is not. Cross-border e-commerce tests a team of a company and a project, and tests the overall level of the team, and is some comprehensive things.
"In the past, you could do it with a specialty, but now you can't have shortcomings." He said, and at the same time, he also reminded sellers who want to join the cross-border e-commerce to change their mindsets and first figure out whether they are suitable for their current transformation to cross-border e-commerce, such as whether the thinking of the product and the boss match. This is a basic question. Only by thinking about this problem can you take the second step.
The second step is to build a team. You have to find someone who knows how to do it or learn it yourself. You have to understand this matter first. Xie Heming repeatedly emphasized the importance of "understanding". Because this has something to do with the changes in e-commerce. In the past, I just rushed in, but now I can't do it. If I don't make any preparations, I might be cannon fodder.
The circle is of great value, encourage executives to go out
Xie Heming's cross-border e-commerce company is in Hangzhou, and the Hangzhou government also attaches great importance to cross-border e-commerce, so he also participates in some official organizations, such as associations. But he always felt that the Laogao e-commerce circle was more important. He said that he had gained a lot in the Laogao cross-border e-commerce club, not only in business, but also in making many good friends and even becoming partners. "This is also an important reason why I have been in the club for ten years." He highly recognized this value.
Xie Heming often runs outside, and he often encourages internal members, executives, partners, etc. of the company to go out and take a look. He feels that many external changes are useless in the company or online. Only by going out and communicating with the outside world can we get it. This depends on the circle.

It is precisely because he often runs out and obtains external information quickly that Xie Heming attaches great importance to circles, and in his eyes circles are very important. He thinks the most important point is that many circles outside are the transmission of simple information or simple communication, but the Laogao e-commerce circle is not.
Because he felt that Lao Gao was doing things at the soul level, and some people might regard the circle as a thing or a job, while Lao Gao was doing this in his own life. The club can do so well, which must have a great relationship with this.
