Tmall will add a first-level category "packaging" under the 3C digital category. Merchants are responsible for copyright

2016-12-06

According to December 5, Tmall recently issued the "Notice on the Publicity of Adding First-level Category "Packaging". Starting from December 9, 2016, Tmall will add First-level Category "Packaging" under the 3C digital category.

It is understood that merchants applying for packaging categories must provide a letter of commitment for product operations. The commitment letter states that "packaging" is a customized packaging product.

Tmall requires that when merchants receive customized needs and materials from the customized party, they must strictly review the legality and qualification proof materials of the customized party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, and patent proof documents. If special marks are involved, the corresponding identification qualification proof documents will also be reviewed to ensure the legality of the use of customized packaging products after sale.

At the same time, if the packaging provided by the merchant is packaged food materials and containers, in addition to providing a letter of commitment to the commodity operation, a "National Industrial Product Production License" must also be provided.

Tmall said that the new "packaging" category is to adapt to the development of the Tmall platform and enhance consumers' purchasing confidence and satisfaction.
