In order to provide consumers on the Tmall platform with a better shopping experience, Tmall will launch the ""Buy expensive, you must compensate" service specifications".
The change of the rules will be announced on October 1, 2017 and will officially take effect on October 8, 2017.

Specific changes:
1. Definition
The "buy expensive and you will have to pay for it" service means that after a consumer purchases a specific product with the "buy expensive and you will have to pay for it" service logo in a Tmall merchant store, if he finds that the actual transaction price of the Tmall product on the same day (between 23:59:59 on the same day) of the product (based on the actual payment amount of Alipay for the purchase of the product) is higher than the order transaction price of JD self-operated products of the same brand, model, color, storage capacity (if any) on the JD platform (website link www.jd.com) (low prices caused by gifts, special promotion forms and special rights such as Jingdou will not be included in the scope of compensation). If the user has valid credentials, he can apply for service of difference compensation.
Specific products refer to products with the service logo of "Buy expensive and you will lose money" in the merchant's store [Please pay attention to identifying the unique logo of the products that cost expensive and you will lose money]
JD self-operated products: refers to products sold by JD.com. The PC side is on the right side of the product page. If it is marked "JD self-operated" or "JD self-operated", the wireless side is on the left side of the product title. If it is marked "self-operated", it is a product sold by JD.com.
The amount of difference that consumers can obtain refers to the difference between the actual transaction price of a specific product purchased on Tmall and the transaction price of JD self-operated product orders of the same brand, model, color, and the same storage capacity (if any) on the JD platform.
2. Service application process
In the order details of the purchased order, consumers click the "Buy expensive and must compensate" application button, fill in the information and upload the voucher materials according to the prompts on the page. The specific content includes: JD self-operated product transaction orders, product discount details, product inventory and other related screenshot vouchers for the same user, and the complete product link for specific products on JD.com.
Tmall waiter feedback the processing results within 5 working days of confirmation of receipt of the transaction. If the Tmall waiter reviews and meets the conditions for compensation, the corresponding compensation amount and amount arrival time shall be subject to the specific email notification.
3. Service application conditions
Consumers can only submit their applications within 24 hours of order payment.
Screenshots of valid vouchers uploaded by consumers shall meet the following conditions:
(1) The screenshot should show that the transaction order is a JD self-operated commodity trading order;
(2) The screenshot should show that the brand, model, color, and storage capacity of the product (if any) is consistent with the brand, model, color, and storage capacity of the product purchased by the user in the Tmall store;
(3) The screenshot should show that the order transaction price of the product is lower than the actual payment amount of the user who purchased the product at a Tmall store;
(4) The screenshot should show that the user's receipt location is the same as the receipt location of the Tmall order, and it should be in stock;
(5) The screenshot should show the order time, and the user's order time on JD platform is from the time when Tmall order is paid to 23:59:59 on the same day;
(6) The screenshot should display detailed introductions including JD’s various discount details (not limited to platform coupons, store coupons, Jingdou, etc.) and coupon details.
Consumers can only get one chance to make up for the same commodity trading order.
The same user can only get one chance to make up for the difference for specific products of the same brand, model, and storage capacity on Tmall.
Consumers can only enjoy the right to make up for transaction orders that have been successfully purchased and have not returned or refunded.
The situations that do not meet the requirements for compensation are as follows:
(1) Failure to initiate on time or fail to pass the process of initiating the purchase price;
(2) Consumers will not support the subsidy request initiated by non-JD self-operated products;
(3) Screenshots of valid certificates that meet the requirements for service application requirements in full or fail to truthfully provide;
(4) JD.com launches special promotional forms, including but not limited to abnormal low-priced transaction orders generated by promotional activities such as limited time and limited flash sale, and does not support subsidy compensation services;
(5) The difference caused by consumers using special preferential rights and interests such as Jingdou on JD.com will not be compensated;
(6) The difference caused by consumers using the goods purchased by orders on JD.com will not be compensated;
(7) The repeated subsidy requests initiated by the same user on Tmall for specific products of the same brand, model, and storage capacity will not be supported;
(8) Consumers’ repeated subsidy requests for the same transaction order will not be supported;
(9) If the consumer successfully returns the order for compensation for the substitution, he will no longer provide the substitution service rights; if the consumer initiates a return request after obtaining the substitution, the well-known refund amount is the remaining part of the substitution amount that has been paid by the consumer;
(10) If the number of items purchased by the user is significantly exceeding the scope of reasonable self-use consumption, the request for compensation will not be supported.
4. Consumer Instructions

If users participating in the event commit any violations (including but not limited to cheating with tools such as flash sale, malicious cash out, false transactions, and provide false voucher information, etc.), Tmall will have the right to terminate their qualifications to enjoy the rights and interests of subsidy compensation services, and have the right to revoke the illegal transactions and recover the amount of subsidy compensation that has been issued, and handle them in accordance with the relevant provisions of Tmall rules, and hold them accountable if necessary.
If there is force majeure or change in circumstances (including but not limited to major disasters, events that need to be stopped or adjusted by government agencies, events that suffer serious cyber attacks or need to be suspended due to system failures), the event will be temporarily suspended or terminated after Tmall’s advance announcement, and Tmall may claim exemption in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
