When the Nanshan District Court heard the case, the victim unit SF Technology Company entrusted employees to make statements, saying that in July 2015, the company received complaints from customers that personal express information was leaked and often received many frauds, marketing calls, etc., which caused customer loss, performance decline, and had a serious impact on the daily work and reputation of customers and the company. After analysis, it was found that there was an illegal query record in the company's server. Someone logged into the company's intranet through the external network to access the waybill query system. There were 200,000 inquiries, and the company's leaked information included customer names, purchase items, address, phone number, etc.
The Nanshan prosecutor found out that Ye's real name was Cao Moufu. He was sentenced to two years in prison by the Guangzhou Yuexiu District Court for illegally obtaining citizens' personal information. During the trial of the case, the prosecution accused Song Mouyu of giving the relevant account password to Cao Moufu, Cao Moufu downloaded the customer's waybill information by logging in to the waybill query system, and handed the relevant information to another person, Li Mouwei for selling and making profits. Some online store owner Huang Mou had purchased a large amount of citizen personal information from Li Mouwei to send information to promote online stores, etc. As of the time when several people were arrested in November 2015, Cao Moufu made a profit of more than 60,000 yuan for selling citizens' personal information, and Li Mouwei received more than 5,000 yuan.
In addition, Li Mouwei's confession also mentioned that Cao Moufu had uploaded a lot of information from SF Express company using U disk or QQ, and Cao Moufu contacted the customer and sent the relevant information to the customer according to Cao Moufu's request.
Four people were sentenced for infringing on citizens' personal information
After trial, the Nanshan District Court sentenced Cao Moufu to two years in prison and a fine of 30,000 yuan for infringing on citizens' personal information in the first instance, and sentenced Song Mouyu to one year and three months in prison and a fine of 20,000 yuan, and sentenced Li Mouwei to 11 months in prison and a fine of 10,000 yuan, and sentenced Huang Mou to 8 months in prison, probation for one year and 6 months, and a fine of 5,000 yuan.
Among them, Cao Moufu once appealed to the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court. Earlier, the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court had made a final judgment, rejecting Cao Moufu's appeal and upholding the original judgment.
