According to reports on April 18, a source revealed that in order to crack down on counterfeit goods, Alibaba Group will increase the frequency of random inspections.
The source also revealed that if the merchant’s product sampling fails, the merchant will face the consequences of deductions and downgrading of rights.
Mr. Mie Jue, chief platform governance officer of Alibaba, said that the current well-known difficulty in Alibaba's fight against counterfeiting is that Alibaba does not have the law enforcement power as a company, and the cost of illegal businessmen is not high enough. "Just like a person who sells white powder, he also knows that it is illegal, but the profit is too high, so he will still do it. However, because the cost of illegality is high, even if it cannot be fully defeated, only a very small number of people dare to do it. At present, for counterfeiting and selling counterfeit products, the profit is high enough, and the cost is not high enough. We should increase its cost to high enough."

Therefore, in the future, Alibaba will be more closely linked to the public security of various provinces, and some anti-counterfeiting matters need to cooperate with industry and commerce.
In addition, Master Mie Jue revealed: "For users with good reputation, we have also launched many services this year, such as first payment, which will allow consumers to get a satisfactory experience first. And once they find products or merchants with concentrated complaints, we will organize regular random inspections, and punish them immediately if there are any problems, and we will never be ruthless."
Tmall also has the "One Certificate Exit", which means that as long as the right holder provides evidence that the merchant infringes on intellectual property rights and the evidence is conclusive, the merchant will be eliminated immediately, the deposit is confiscated, and the store is closed immediately. Mr. Mie Jue introduced: "We have established a quick decision-making group called ESU (Emergency Response Group). This group has relatively high-level leaders from various departments, including Tmall, Taobao, customer service, legal affairs, etc. They have the power to make quick decisions against complaints that there is insufficient evidence."
According to Alibaba's official data, within one month from February 15 to March 15, 2016, more than 220,000 sellers were punished by Taobao for suspected order swiping issues. In parallel with the seller's downgrading, more than 390,000 related products were also downgraded, and the sales related to them were also cleared. At the same time, more than 6,000 sellers who have serious order brushing behavior were closed down, and more than 10,000 sellers were punished with points deductions to varying degrees.
