If virtue is not in harmony with one's position, there will be disaster


Mr. Zheng is from Quanzhou, Fujian. The company mainly engages in commercial furniture. It can be said that he started his business very casually.

In 2017, General Zheng, who was in 1994, had just graduated. Because of the call of his childhood friend, he went home and participated in the e-commerce entrepreneurship with him.

Although the industrial belt in his hometown developed relatively late, it still has advantages. It is said that around 2010, there were very big dividends in those years. No matter how you do, you can make money, but Mr. Zheng didn't catch up.

Mr. Zheng said that the current scale of the entire industrial belt is still not particularly large. Even if you achieve top 1, it may be a GMV of 200 million. Mr. Zheng and Fa Child started at the end of 2017. They are in the form of a store partnership, operating independently, and taking responsibility for their own profits and losses.

At that time, the entire company's annual sales were about 4-5 million yuan, and the company has developed well in recent years. In the past few years, he found that finding people requires a strong sense of purpose, and secondly, they are willing to learn and desire for knowledge. Generally, such people grow very quickly as long as they give space. Only by finding more people like this can the company's development be faster.



Gradually, Mr. Zheng achieved management from the beginning of operations, and his performance accounted for 1/3 of the company in one year. So the company began to reorganize, and he managed the company with full authority, and his entire performance grew by more than 100% every year. Team building and performance plans were all changed, and omni-channel expansion was also made.

After this series of operations, he also felt that he was very awesome and could do anything. So at the end of 2020, he made a very comprehensive 2021 plan, which he implemented on the goals of each team, and he called it strategy. As a result, the performance has not increased, but it is consistent with 2020.

This experience allowed him to climb the peak of ignorance. When he first saw the Dark effect, he thought he had already walked on the slope of enlightenment. The surrounding environment was saying that he was good because ignorance brought ups and downs to his life.

After summarizing himself, Mr. Zheng said that he would solve it down-to-earth one by one. He clearly saw that the most important thing was that he was not worthy of his morality. Although his performance did not increase, it helped him know himself.

There is also Mr. Zheng. His company mainly deals in cooking utensils, kitchens, small appliances, kitchen and bathroom appliances, and has a rich product line. In his own words, it is to fully meet consumers' kitchen living needs.

He is mainly responsible for the business of tableware and beverage utensils, with an annual sales volume of about 1.5 billion.

After starting a business for so long, he often thinks about two topics. One is that there are many smart and hard-working people in this world, but why is the gap so big?

He believes that the gap between people is essentially the gap in cognition. Because cognition affects judgment, before struggling, you must first figure out whether you are in an upward escalator or a downward escalator.

If you step on an escalator indiscriminately, your struggle will likely be a futile thing. The important criterion for choosing a career to strive for is not the current salary and position title, but whether it has growth potential and whether it can allow you to grow quickly.




Another topic is that many private enterprises do not accept candidates over 35 years old in management positions, and starting a business does not seem to be suitable for this age group. Many people who graduated from prestigious universities and worked in very good industries and companies, started their management positions very early, and have been diligent and even lost their jobs at the age of 40.

Because he also interviewed people with 35+ or 40+, he found that most of them lack passion and curiosity, and their eyes no longer shine. It seemed that nothing was particularly interested in. He rarely heard from him that he was very curious about something new. Only ask about work content, remuneration, benefits, etc. And rely too much on work experience and generally do not pay attention to methodology.

Because it was during the interview conversation, the candidates only talked about what system I used to use and what problems I solved. There is no habit of continuous self-refreshing, and there is also a lack of self-refreshing mechanism. Judging from the details of peeling onions, many people's promotion at work is not entirely their own ability, but because of this industry, the rapid development of the company has "drifted with the flow". As soon as the tide falls, they lack the ability and means to turn the tide.

Based on these thoughts, Mr. Zheng became more and more aware that he must meet a group of positive and positive people, and he will maintain a constantly enterprising mentality. It is also a reward in a more active and motivated organization.


The tide of the times faded, and I realized that I missed the opportunity


Mr. Zhang, born in 1984, mainly engaged in maternal and infant home clothing, and he started his business relatively early.

In 2013, he had already started doing e-commerce. In the early years, Taobao and Tmall had a large traffic and little competition, so it was relatively easy to make money.

Mr. Zhang also admitted that this is true. He said that because of his conservative personality, lack of radical genes, and no dream of flying higher, he did not expand more categories and channels when the situation was good. When the tide faded in the past one or two years, he found that he was swimming naked and it was a bit difficult.

He has also been reflecting that if he can do it again, he should be prepared for danger in times of peace and experience the abilities of his company when the traffic is high. Product development, supply chain capabilities, sales channels, marketing promotion, user operations, etc. must be fully laid out in any aspect.

He said that if you really consciously strive to build competitiveness from the beginning, you will be very comfortable to take out any point at the next step to make the second curve. You should practice swimming while the water is heavy, so that you can deal with strong winds and waves and ebbs and flows. After all, there are only a handful of big waves that a person can catch up with and catch in his entire life.

Unfortunately, I didn't seize the opportunity.

He has been working in Xiaohongshu for a year or two, and he feels that this is very simple, basically it is replaced and doesn’t cost much money.

"It's better to do payments on the site. You need to be accurate in the crowd to have high production." Mr. Zhang said that the company will apply for pregnant women's products on Xiaohongshu. If the posts are spread, the results will be immediately achieved. It is very difficult to achieve the same posts that apply for children's clothing. The reason is that pregnant women are very narrow and can easily be precise. Children's clothing people have different gender, age and style, so it is difficult to find the corresponding population of products.

In the Laogao e-commerce club, he often participates in corporate study tours between members, and shares Douyin gameplay worth hundreds of millions of yuan. He will study every time he learns, and even rents a large office to decorate the live broadcast room when he goes back.

Mr. Zhang believes that the size of the business depends on whether he can seize the opportunity. He was not sure about the opportunity in the previous era, and he didn't want to miss it again this time.
