Continue the family business


      The 2012 graduation season is approaching. I remember my parents asked me what job I want to do in the future? I did not hesitate to answer that I wanted to do e-commerce. It's very simple and practical, I want to achieve financial freedom. Although I, who have not entered society, have maintained the youthful spirit of a young man like my peers, I also know that society cannot be easily conquered by a young boy like me. With my thoughts and thoughts, I chose to continue the furniture industry. First of all, this is because my career is relatively stable, and secondly, with the help of my family, I can accumulate experience. So, after graduation, I started my e-commerce business journey...

      The competitive pressure on Taobao in 2013 is not very high. In addition, I have been familiar with the entire e-commerce process by being influenced by my family for many years, taking orders, focusing on production, and busy shipping. Moreover, this generation of young people have a very high acceptance of the Internet. In order to make credits in college, I took a poster design. I didn’t expect to fully utilize it in the details page of my online store. Therefore , for me who is just starting out, the early stages of e-commerce were still smooth .

In addition, I met a friend Yu Dong on the way to start a business, and he was also struggling in the e-commerce field as soon as I graduated. At this time, I didn’t know that in the near future, Yu Dong will become my indispensable and important partner.

      After precipitating in the furniture industry for a while, I found that my current income is only enough to maintain a normal livelihood, and there is no way out in a short period of time. Moreover, the salary of my subordinates will rise with time. When I was at a loss, Yu Dong introduced me to another platform - JD.com. At that time, JD.com had just opened up its qualifications to enter third-party parties. There were not many merchants in many categories, and it was still a blue ocean in the e-commerce field. So I became the first merchants in JD.com with a nervous attitude.

      Yu Dong also joined JD.com with me and chose the clothing category he was familiar with, but at this time I had not decided what to do. It happened that early autumn had just passed and the weather was cold. I wonder if I could use warm winter clothing to reverse the current situation? I was so anxious that I immediately contacted Yu Dong, but we hit it off and started preparations immediately.

      The winter soon ushered in. God seemed to see us working hard these days. The warm-smooth clothing in winter was loved by the public, and its sales reached a new high every day. It was sold out several times . I earned more than one million in just 4 months, which made me ecstatic. I was so happy that I was almost lost by excitement. But Yu Dong, who was experienced, immediately poured a basin of cold water on me: When spring begins, I must change to a new product, otherwise I can only wait to drink the northwest wind.


Thorns everywhere


      The excitement has not yet dissipated, and the chill of early spring has spread all over the body. In the following time, we intend to continue the momentum of seasonal products, but the facts are not as good as expected. We started to change one shot, we have made Taobao, used JD.com, and tried Pinduoduo, from luggage to women's clothing, from women's clothing to men's clothing, and also made watch categories . Some people say that I am like a driver, driving a car with a fuel tank that is about to bottom out, forcing myself to observe the road conditions of other roads at all times to ensure that the vehicle can gallop.

In recent years, in order to maintain the normal operation of the store, I have been constantly moving through several categories and doing whatever is better. Yu Dong also reminded me that it is difficult to grow bigger by doing this, but of course I know this disadvantage, but I can’t do a loss-making business, I can only take one step at a time.

      To be honest, it is not that difficult to do e-commerce, but it is not as easy as imagined. During the opening of a store, you are not only facing customers and peers, but also the platform itself. I have opened many stores in recent years, and I have never encountered any storms, but I have encountered many small motorcycles and small brushes, just like the regular punishments on logistics on some platforms. You know that you have stepped on the line, but you just can't avoid it. The fine on the platform is not low, but I have no choice but to survive. In order to survive, people can only bow their heads. They naturally have to follow other people's rules when doing things on other people's places.

      Of course, this is also a small episode in entrepreneurship. Compared with many people, I am relatively lucky. I have never encountered a major disaster. By 2018, localities in the north began to restrict coal burning, and the slogans of "coal-free" and "battle for blue sky defense" became increasingly louder. Some rural areas have implemented restrictions on coal burning, and the traditional heating furnaces with 40 years have gradually faded out of the market. Growing up in the north, I think there must be business opportunities here, so I decided to enter the heating equipment industry.


Beginning on track


      During the preparation stage, Yu Dong and I studied many products, participated in a large number of exhibitions, visited dozens of companies, and came into contact with many new technologies. Just when we were in a state of exhaustion, we finally discovered a heating equipment we liked. Whether it is energy consumption or national standard policies, this product is very in line with our future plans.

      Yu Dong and I are both decisive people. When we see the right direction, we will immediately put in a lot of effort. I, who have been relocating for many years, know that there is a set of my own supply chain to take root in this industry. So I began to lay out my own supply chain and factory, and Yu Dong became my factory manager.

      In the next two or three years, as national policies were continuously improved and implemented, red-headed documents from various provinces and regions were issued, which promoted the rapid development of the industry. We also seized the favorable benefits of this area. Order sales grew day after day, and the company gradually got on the right track.

      Sometimes I ask myself, have I realized my dream 9 years ago? I don't know, but I know that maybe I won't have to constantly adjust my business direction for my livelihood in the future. If I hadn't met Yu Dong at the beginning, what would I be like now? I don’t know, but I know very well that Yu Dong and I are the two of us who have made each other successful. If we meet a noble person who is willing to share weal and woe for you and guide you on the road of entrepreneurship, it can be called a blessing in my life .

      The detours he has taken can make you bypass the reefs and sail away. The mud pits he has stepped on can make you cross the thorns of the sky, the earth, and the sky are soaring. Whether you realize your dreams is not so important...
